I have had j4j 4 years now and they are brilliant as not too heavy so can be moved easily - so far have withstood a winter of snow and a winter of rain with not a mark on them - am going to buy extra poles now too as so good.
you need to raise your hands alot higher..sit up straight and have a better self carriage then your horse might have a chance to sit on his backside, and raise his head....

does seem though that you put your head in the firing line ( kate2323 ) to mention something that happens alot and the people that obviously disagree love to shout you down!

thanks - good advice....problem is also hard doing a dressage comp at 3pm with horse flies buzzing around...the horse spray remedies like NAF just DONT work ...sorry but that is a fact.....
I rode for a short hack today at 3pm and my poor horse got absolutely attacked by hideous flies and horseflies...dont think i will be riding in the day anymore this summer grrrrrr no fly spray seems to work either...any suggestions?

I use mine for schooling as it is so lightweight and you forget you even have it on...love the design and would even be able to get it under my hunting coat ....but it is not an air jacket so would only use x country with an air jacket over it ....
i always think pay as much as you can as most horses cost the same to look after!....i do believe you do get in most cases what you pay for.....there are of course flukes and people with a good eye but a good horse which has had correct training, is sane and most importantly 100 per cent sound...
I built an arena this summer and every time i go up and ride on it ( every day) I just think how lucky I am to have it! I wish I had done it 5 years ago which would have saved countless hacks in the mud in winter! It is worth every penny thats a fact as the freedom it gives you is immense and...
a group of over 60's ramblers - about 12 stopped to " look at the view" across the fields by my yard in a private parking area....my dressage instructor had just dropped £100 there and came back to get it...guess what? the "nice " ramblers had pocketed the money and gone off with their bloody...
