I have a very good doer of a pony. 11hh, hairy, fat. She had to be stabled for the winter due to floods and is now carrying to much condition. The field she is on is BARE. People are muttering things that sound suspiciously like neglect at the lack of grass but she's still fat. I don't know how...
I got a magic sponge thing that's like a rubber block thing. Got it at the pet shop. Godsend as I have grey woolly pony and a white indoor cat. I'm thinking of shaving the cat.
We have an extremely overfed, borderline obese neutered male cat that lives indoors in front of the fire for the majority of the time. He's a killing machine. Rats, mice and unfortunately birds sometimes. All the rules say he should be useless. He's great. We've also moved house 3 times and he's...
I'm not trying to defend this woman but I have to disagree with those calling to name and shame. I think this is dangerous. People seem to lose the head and issue death threats etc and a bit of a mob mentality takes over ie death threats, harassing family members on social media etc. It's...
Call on over, I'll put the kettle on. Sit anywhere, don't mind the cat, just push him off. Now I know a man who has a lovely mare for sale. It's my sister-in-laws cousins lad.......
I have one, I retrained afterwards as did some friends. One is a teacher and I'm in a pharmaceutical company. Never really used the qualification. The ones that did use it set up their own yards but both had family land etc. They are however both successful. It just didn't do anything for me.
Hands too low. Always. Just feels bloody unnatural to have them up so high. Drives my instructor mad. He threathens to make me balance a whip on them like they used to make kids do.
I used to ride a cob who was terrified of cyclists. I don't know was it the lack of legs or what. Bizzare. He was totally chilled about lorries etc. I always check a new one with a 'cycle by'. Everyone thinks I'm mad.
Thanks everyone. I have an equine vet lined up and her vaccinations are all up to date. I recently moved to the area. I think I might turn her out fully soon. She's in at the moment at night as our fields flooded very badly.
