I noticed from previous posts enfys would unravel a round bale to feed it, but I also note she is in Canada where it is dry and cold and I am not sure it would work so well in a muddy field? Has anyone here tried it?

We put a round bale out on Saturday and it is almost totally gone! With one 16.2 and one 14.2 out 24/7, I cannot believe how quickly they have eaten it all!!!

I would put a photo of the invalid up but it keeps telling me all the single photos I have are too large? The ones I’ve put up previously as photo collage things so they must be smaller 🤷‍♀️

I’ve been cleaning it with baby wipes and the hose pipe! Vets gave me dermisol cream to put on it and a spray but I can’t remember what the spray is called. It looks so much better, like the flap has mostly reattached now which is a relief!

He had 3 weeks box rest, then I think 5 days just in at night and is now back out 24/7. These are some more recent photos :

It seemed very far forwards to me to how I would have usually put it, it is a jumping one if that makes any difference? Yesterday we moved it back a bit and will probably try a few more rides with it back a bit and see whether that helps also!

O really?! Never heard of a chesnut being called a redhead before is it a new thing? He’s a bay though.... I guess it may be the grass....He is in a large field. The feed thing - would 4 round scoops of Alfa a oil a week really have that much of an effect on him?
