    Connie needing more control

I have a lovely 5yo Connie who has only been very lightly backed, have left him to graze and grow slowly but have restarted his education. I’m lunging and long reining and finding that he just tows me about. He’s not a sharp type but he’s quite rude and strong to handle on the ground in that he...

    Connie struggling with canter

thank you for the encouragement, I’ve been feeling a bit disheartened but I’ll try and find some safer hacking routes with some little canter spots to see if the open space helps. I’ll keep going 💪🏻

    Connie struggling with canter

Hello, I have a beautiful Connie gelding who is 5yo next month. I got him as a 3.5yo who had literally been backed, toddled around the yard, bit of lunging and then was turned away for 6 months. Safety stirrups

    Safety stirrups

She’s now doing faster work and I’m keen up find something that will help to stabilise her leg and support her with the right leg/foot position. She finds her feet slide around in current...

Anyone used NS Universal curb strap

Hi, My Welsh c is proving to be a little bit too much for my daughter when he’s out in open spaces (he’s a lazy sod in the arena so despite lots of schooling he is just more sparky in the big fields). He’s in the NS verbidend universal bit and he seems happy with the it, and I’m wondering if...

    Pony with sensitive mouth

Hi, I am new so a big hello!! I recently bought my daughter a lovely welsh b who came with a Wilkie snaffle. He lunges and handles really well but the minute my daughter is on him and even touches the reins, he gets really prancy and goes faster. It’s knocking my daughters confidence as she’s...
