Safety stirrups

Hi, my 11yo daughter is currently riding with peacock safety stirrups, has done since she started riding. She’s now doing faster work and I’m keen up find something that will help to stabilise her leg and support her with the right leg/foot position. She finds her feet slide around in current ones. Any recommendations before I spend a fortune… Currently exploring Venice tech and flex-on but interested in others’ views and experiences.

Avacello AluPro. They open at the side, have a nice wide grippy foot bed. I find they are are really secure and they really helped my daughter keep her leg still. And feet don't slip out.

Not the most aesthetically pleasing, but I won a pair of Smartrider Escapes a few years ago and they're very comfortable. The release works too and as a bonus, you can use them as a mounting aid.

I really like the Acavallo Alupro. They are really comfy and better that the other style from Acavallo, can’t remember what it’s called…

Another vote for Acavallo Arena Alupro. Been tried and tested when my daughter had a nasty fall cross country and would have been dragged if not for the quick release safety feature.

Are both leathers and stirrups the same length, remove them from the saddle and hold them up side by side to check , one may have stretched and be the reason she keeps loosing stability with it.

Yeah we’ve checked that. Her boy needs a fair bit of leg so keen to find something that will help with a bit of grip as well as encouraging position whilst she’s still learning.

Thank you. Will have a look at the Acavello. Do they have an inclined footbed or are they flat? I’m just thinking a slight incline would maybe help and encourage the “heels down” position, I know some of the others do.

Could anyone with the Acavallo Arena Alupro trell me how the foot bed measures from front to back - I know they are 12cm across but what is the measurement from "toe to heel" if that makes sense. I like a good part of my foot supported. Thanks in advance.

I have some Kwik out stirrups that I have had a long time. Steel which open at the side. I have always found them good and the weren't ott expensive but I don't know how easy they are to find now.

I can't tell you an exact measurement but I have them & I'm the same liking the support - they're great with lovely wide grippy tread - I have let to lose one yet even on my bouncy youngster!

Another vote for the acavallo arena stirrups, super safe and they put kids legs in good position.
