    Moving to Spain

Am thinking of retiring to Spain with my 4 dogs and horse. Has anyone had experience of this? Any area recommendations? I was thinking Murcia or maybe Seville way? I would want to keep my horse in a good livery yard. I think keeping him at home would be harder over there.

    Fly masks

I actually look through them myself to see how dark they are! Some are really dark! Personally I don't like leaving them on overnight for that reason unless the flies are really bad so it's the lesser if 2 evils.

Another dressage rider in hot water.

Why is the CD video in wide circulation yet no one can find the Danish video? Also both statements by both riders are almost identical i.e. errors of judgement and don't usually train that way!!

    Best Towing vehicle

I have an old SWB Shogun which has started to give me trouble so I am thinking of selling it and getting something else. Can anyone recommend a fuel efficient 4x4 that can tow 2 horses? A friend has an Isuzu pick up that she loves - it's just SO big!

Riding in a Dressage Saddle - help please

Thanks for all your replies. I have absolute trust in my saddler and I am sure we will find something to suit. I will definitely try a flatter seat. and thanks for the Albion recommendation. It's a real minefield. I was happy with my Vogue for 4 years but it's not until I looked back on...

Riding in a Dressage Saddle - help please

Yes he is short backed. He is a M/W and a 17.5" saddle. I'm 11st 3lbs and 5ft 8". The horse is 15:2/3hh. All the Ryder trees have been tried on his back, (the tree that fits him best is the latest model so no 2nd hand ones about - typical. Can't afford £3,400 for a new saddle!), Harry Dabbs...

Riding in a Dressage Saddle - help please

It was the previous saddle I tried that he felt the bounce and I was watching and that saddle didn't move.

Riding in a Dressage Saddle - help please

No I don't think it's that as the "bounce" was one of the reasons I am changing from the HM. I really just wanted to know if anyone else had heard of problems getting used to riding in a dressage saddle.

Riding in a Dressage Saddle - help please

My trainer rode in the last saddle I had on trial and he noticed there was a bounce too. I am now trialing an Ideal Suzannah saddle which seems to be the best yet but still getting a slight double bounce and not totally sure my horse likes it. The trot is fab but the canter is not so good in...

Riding in a Dressage Saddle - help please

As I am doing the rising trot as I come down there is a sort of slight double bounce. It's like the saddle comes up to meet me when I am on the way down but my saddle fitter says that the saddles are not moving. Hope that makes sense?

Riding in a Dressage Saddle - help please

I have been riding in a Heather Moffet dressage saddle for about 3 years now but for various reasons which I won't go into I am now looking for a treed dressage saddle. My saddle fitter has gone above and beyond to help me find one but I seem to get a "double bounce" in the ones I have tried...

    Recommendations for a calmer please

Can anyone recommend a calmer that I can use for me horse on competition days? He gets very worried in the warm-up and does not like all the horses coming past him. People have recommended that I just keep going out and he will eventually get used to it. WRONG! I've been out and about for a...
