I think our 5ft one is the same as the ebay one. Did the job can`t complain! (We have only used it twice though so cannot comment yet on durability etc). We towed it no probs with the discovery
HTH
Mine are out naked now............have been keeping a careful eye on temperature and keep nipping outside to see how cold it is (I`m so soft). Luckily they live on site with us so can run out at midnight if I wanted if I suddenly got a case of the guilts.
Wasn`t happy to see that the...
I`m 5ft 10, 9 1/2 stone. Like most above I have been riding 15h1 to 16 cob type horses. I`m looking for a nice Welsh D later in the year and as most tend to max out at 15h2 it has been really useful to see all the pics above to confirm that I don`t look to big for them.................I have...
I have the option of renting about 0.9 of an acre of field just behind our place to supplement the land we have here. Trouble is I`m not totally sure what the going rate is.
It is part of a larger field so will need to be sectioned off with tape. There are no stables etc or water supply...
The rented field that the ponies are on wraps around our 1 acre property. They come and go as they please through a gap in the hedgerow into an enclosed area within our garden that is supposed to be my lawn area (I went soft and like them to come up to say hello to me when I`m pottering...
Hmmm I do find the whole thing quite funny really. It has a slight incline to it so drainage shouldn`t be an issue.
Originally I had it earmarked as a play area for my daughter.........we were just going to put one of those weed barriers down and then pile all of the wood chippings/fibre on...
This is a really dumb question that was triggered by me thinking about the woodfibre post.
I have an existing 20 by 40m (ish) paddock within my grounds that I plan to use for general schooling. However I would like to maximise its use by potentially putting down a wood fibre surface.
Does it...
Really interesting read from Ransford website........... made me totally rethink the whole rubber chippings approach.
Any ideas what sort of cost you would be looking at with the wood fibre option.
The one that has had a neck cover on has rubbed it away a bit.......but not badly tangled............the shetland on the other hand has a severe tina turner look going on. Both ponies are new to me so want them to get used to me fussing over their locks.
not sure. Think my sister had the two injections......... which killed the majority of them........and then got the few bugs that were left with Coopers fly spray.
The pony I have just picked up also has lice (arggggghhh) and have just sprayed the once with the barricade the vet prescribed...
Odd. I know that when we bought this house we "ported" (their terms) but to you and me........transferred..... the old mortgage to the new house and then topped it up with a bit more. This was through Halifax..but thought most banks would have done the same.
I believe Ivometin (sorry spelling) is the best course of action. My sisters ponies got it bad last year and this was the only thing that really killed the critters. Vet will give them an injection two weeks apart (second time to get eggs missed from first time round). NB most vets will only...
I`ve been monitoring the "local" rug situation on all the horses I drive past everyday back and forth to work. Can I ask how all of you with welshies and the finer haired welsh x`s are rugging theirs? (polyfill g weighting also useful) We are right up high on an exposed location and it has made...
