Superhorse & I make our BE Novice debut!!!!

Well done at your first Novice :-) I was the XC collecting ring steward so I can testify that the weather was horrid. And despite being there all day I only saw the first and the last jump! Best of luck in your next comps.

    out 24/7 update...

Glad he's settled to his new routine. It all looks too much for him! ;) All mine live out in the summer and thrive on it :) We turned a 6 month old calf out with one this morning who has taken delight in chasing him round the field! I left them with the calf standing with his head in the hedge...

    Looking fab :)

WE JUMPED!!! And a thank you...

Well done. I know too well how difficult it is to get over mental barriers we have. It's taken me a while to learn to trust my mare again after she kept bucking me off due to kissing spines but now I can't wait to get going! I'm looking forward to hearing how you progress.

Average cost of backing and breaking

I'm paying £20 a day so £140 a week for my mare to be rebacked following kissing spine surgery. They've done an excellent job taking it at the speed she needed and I can't be more pleased :)

What did we all get? *Warning: very cool photo!* :D

My parents are going to buy me some chickens when it's warmer which I'm so excited about :) I also got some tools for my veg plot so I don't have to beg and borrow any more and an apron as I'm a very messy cook!

are you all working your horses?

Mine have been ridden once in the last month in between the snowy snaps but they are out 24/7 so they are keeping active. My other mare is away at a schooling yard and is costing me a fortune without being ridden as their arena is frozen and the lanes are too icy to get the lorry out to take...

    Waterproof Breeches

I ordered a pair of the Derby House breeches to try and keep me dry at competitions. They felt nice and soft but they were too small so I had to send them back. Sorry I'm not much use answering your question.

    ***Weekend Plans***

Saturday - going to watch my mare who's had kissing spine op being ridden. They got on her for first time yesterday and she was fine which is a huge relief. I just hope it continues. Sunday - scoring for our local hunt's Hunter Trials so I'm hoping it warms up a bit! Monday - running our local...

Cinderella doesn't get to go to the ball!

Hope you feel better soon. Good decision to enter Llanymynech - it's a lovely event. I will probably be helping as OH has been asked to doctor.

    For those at Malpas tomorrow

I was doing the XC scoring today so know how the course rode. The water caused quite a few problems as it's very murky but faults were spread around the course apart from that although the 1st fence caught a few out. Walk the course well as we had quite a few eliminations for missed fences!

Look what I gave B for her birthday

Wow, it's amazing. B is very lucky :) My sister commissioned a portrait of my mare for my 21st which now has pride of place in my living room :)

what did riding club do for you

I love my RC too. I've met loads of new people and take advantage of dressage and SJ competitions they run every month. I haven't had chance to go to camp yet as my horse isn't up to it but hopefully I will have one to take next year. I was very lucky and qualified 2 horses for the eventing...

    ***Weekend Palns***

Good luck. Hope you have a good day. I'm scoring there tomorrow and either fence judging or scoring again on Sunday and OH is doctoring both days so it's a busy weekend helping for us! In between that I need to fit in exercising my horse!

    Malpas ODE

We're about 15 minutes away and have had enough rain to take the sting out of the ground but it's still quite hard.
