    Arm Bands In Showing

Hi, I've seen a few people with coloured arm bands on when showing but I don't know what they are. I know the tail ribbons and was wondering if they're the same but just on the arm? Thanks

    6 year old, bitting advice

I'm not surprised he doesn't like the flash, all they do is clamp the mouth closed onto the bit! Have you tried positioning the bit higher or lower in the mouth? The 'two wrinkle theory' isn't always right, you should look inside his mouth to see where the bit is lying. You could try a pessoa -...

    Bitless Dressage

Most likely, I have no clue with dressage haha. Think I'll just stick to my jumping then!

    Bitless Dressage

Hi, There's a dressage show going on at the riding school up the road from my yard. Unaffiliated, being ran with current dressage rules. Will I be able to do this bitless or do I have to use a snaffle? Thanks :)

    Keratex or Equimins?

Okay, so I'm getting my boy barefoot. We've taken off his backs and will be taking the fronts off next farrier visit. Farrier has advised us the use Keratex hoof hardener, however I have also seen Equimins hoof hardener. Does anyone have any experiences with either?

    Going Bitless

Hi all, I currently have a very strong pony who doesn't seem very happy with being bitted, I've had him 5 years and he's always tolerated more than enjoyed having a bit in. So recently I was thinking of going bitless, I know I won't be able to show anymore but if it makes him happier then I'd...

    M&M Working Hunter

Hi, I'm looking to enter my Welsh D Gelding who is around 14.2 in some working hunter classes next show season. I was wondering if anyone knew, or had any experience of entering these classes and knows the average height or the biggest fence my horse may be faced with. I was also wondering if...

    Bulk Up Feeds

Hi, My friend has a TBXTrotter 5 yearold gelding. He was rescued from a field where his weight was between 1-2 out of 10. She's had him for three years now and has only just got him to an acceptable weight and he has started work to build up his muscles. He's currently on constant grazing and...

    Itchy Sheath

Positive, I've stuck my hand up there everyday to check and check again, I'm wondering if he's just enjoying the rub abit TOO much! My mums old pony used to lift his leg up and get scratched under his belly and sheath, only when my mum decided to clean it did she notice maggots coming out! So...

    Itchy Sheath

My 7 yearold welsh section D gelding constantly wants me to itch his sheath and back end. He'll stand there for hours while I rub him and if I try and walk off he'll kick his stomach or follow me and then turn his bum on me one I stop. He is completely clean - he drops alot and enjoys it being...

    Saddle No Longer Fits

It isn't going to be possible actually. I'm going to have college 9 till 5 and won't be able to get down to ride my horse till about 7, which in winter months means darkness. No I'm not on a yard with and indoor school or a lighted arena so no I won't be possible actually :) Already thought all...

    Saddle No Longer Fits

The majority of you are all ridiculous bar a few individuals that gave me a response like the thread asked for. Thank you to those who did and to the rest please stop posting pointless comments that don't benefit either of us. I am not riding in the current saddle, actually not riding at all as...

    Saddle No Longer Fits

Id prefer it if you didn't dictate my thoughts. It is inevitable that he will put on weight. He's a section D and a good do-er, he will also be getting less exercise when i go to college. I am NOT wishing for him the put on wight 'just so the saddle fits' don't be so ridiculous, I know this is...

    Saddle No Longer Fits

The saddle fits every where except at the front around his withers where the fat has dropped off. The saddle was actually fitted to him when we bought it so was perfect. It is just his withers at the moment as he has reached his all time lowest weight level. For now I'll do what you said and buy...
