So happy this thread was started - I thought it was just me but now feel validated 😂
I'm having trouble reverting the app back to the old version - wondering if its because I'm an iPhone user? I've found the feedback option (which I have left....) but no options to revert to old version that I...
Nearly a year later! Lots of changes in that time, we moved back to Yorkshire in July for husband’s job. Purdey settled in straight away and is loving living on the edge of the Peak District! (Took me and the horse a bit longer to settle but that’s a different story - neither of us like change...
Thank you all so much for your replies. As was probably evident from my post I was firmly more in the don’t rescope camp but was just worried I might have been letting my heart rule my head. Will definitely discuss the option of just 2 extra weeks of jabs without a scope. It is going through...
Sorry for another ulcer post from me but just would like some opinions on this
Scoped for ulcers before Christmas and found both squamous (grade 1) and glandular. Nothing too horrendous, to the point I worried it might be a red herring and not severe enough to be causing the symptoms we had...
I know the feed isn’t the cause of the ulcers but was wondering if it’s exacerbating the discomfort like you’ve explained with the anticipation.
He has ad lib hay when in and I have always made sure he’s not given his tea on an empty stomach/without having hay first as he is the type that will...
Thank you @LEC. Do you mean more how much grass and fibre he is getting or the change due to the move? Sorry if I’m missing an obvious point
Also edited to add in my original post - didn’t mention before as wasn’t sure it was relevant but since reading around the subject I’ve seen it mentioned...
Please excuse my current lack of knowledge surrounding ulcers - have been lucky enough to so far not have to deal with them.
Very quick background. 19 year old gelding, owned for 15 years. We relocated for husbands job in the summer so an unavoidable yard move. Allrounder but mostly a happy...
Thanks @mini-eventer. Im hopeful that’s the reason, just with our luck at the moment I almost darent think that positively!
(Edited to add just in case, this is under vets advice. Just didn’t want to bother them with potentially silly questions)
Has anyone else noticed a calming - almost very mild sedative like effect with protexin acid ease? Not used this before and 4 days in to the loading dose (50g scoop 2x per day). Unsure if this is normal and can’t find much online
Think I mentioned it in my Purdey thread a week or so ago rather than here - we’ve been beating (without dog) on a small local shoot this season and they persuaded us to finally bring Purdey along for the last day.
I’m absolutely blown away. She LOVED it so much and seeing her light up and all...
In her winter woolies but booked in for another strip soon! She’ll be 2 in May. Hoping to get her to her first actual shoot day this weekend - nervous but excited! It’s a very small local shoot that we have been beating on this season (not with the dog so far) and everyone is so lovely. Just for...
Last year we bought Purdey an angry parsnip toy wearing a santa hat - she was terrified of it 🤣
Her absolute favourite is a yellow rubber type ball that one of my work colleagues bought for her last Christmas from Aldi - I was convinced she would destroy it in 10 seconds flat but its survived...
