I think it's illegal to kill them inhumanly, so technically having to then go back and shoot the poor thing again is leaving to suffer unnecessary cruelty which you can get done for, think it might be classed though as 'Aggrevated cruelty' (I watch far too many law and RSPCA programmes :))
