    turnout boots

I can highly recommend "The Husk" range they are fairly new but fab boots and bandages, they are amazingly shock absorbent due to their honeycomb design so great for exercise and turnout and have removable liners so make for easy washing, they don't allow mud in so really work to prevent mud...

How far would you travel for livery?

I think I'm just hanging on to how good it was there, my friends there have become friends for life, everyone is like minded and the facilities are top spec, i know I could go back and they've all offered to help me but it just seems silly to be so far away. I'm also really struggling to find...

How far would you travel for livery?

That's my main concern, the cost of fuel, I'd only be able to go once a day, which may bother me. Assisted livery could be an option though rather then part. I'm in fairford.

How far would you travel for livery?

Hello and happy new year to all!! So as the title suggests, how far would/do you travel for livery? I'm going to be getting another horse soon after losing my boy and though I have stable and grazing for one close to home for free (neighbour has non ridden horses in adjacent paddock so horse...

    Aubiose advise!!

We were mixing it with wood pellets but thought we'd give it a try on its own, guess we'll have to leave it another week and see how it goes.

    Aubiose advise!!

Does your horse keep himself fairly clean and not mix all his poo's around, that's the bit im struggling with is picking all the bits out, think it's a fab idea but it takes me an age to muck out, just wondering if it's just not designed for horses that drag the feet around and mush it up?

    Aubiose advise!!

Great thanks for advise, bit worrying about the colic thing though, sounds terrifying!! I think it would be fab if the poo's weren't dragged all around and in tiny bits all over the place but with one or two of ours that's just impossible, I have ocd issues and after mucking out I spent another...

    Aubiose advise!!

HELP!!! We are in the process of changing our horses onto aubiose bedding from wood pellets, we've had the rep out to talk us through it all and the theorie is great but we have a couple of horses that drag their legs round their beds and trash it all, it's impossible to keep the bed spotlessly...

    Long or short stirrups??

I do agree and since canter work started I have shortened up loads but it's just always very interesting to read other people's opionions. I always used to take the lean back and ride through it option but have found the shortening up makes the experience more bareable!! Always enjoy hearing...

    Long or short stirrups??

Just a little curious really as to other people's preferences when riding horses that can be very prone to a playful, cheeky bronc!!! I am a hunt groom and spend several hours a day in the saddle on fit, big hunters all are masters horses and are angels on the field doing their job but during...

Have you ever taken a break from horses?

I've had a few breaks with children and trying to find a "better paid" career but after a month or two I'm getting itchy feet and gazing longingly and a bit stalker like into people's paddocks/yards etc. if it's in you its always there nagging away in the back ground. A break is great but...
