i know the course builders well and i'm 99% positive that it is 3*, the test event was 2 *, but i maybe wrong, hence horses not having done a 4* isn't an issue, i can't see Yogi picking horses that hadn't competed at the said level for the Olympics especially on home turf!!!
Having spoken with my vet i have decided to keep my girls in until we have a frost, more work for me but piece of mind i guess, and at least they are jabbed for herpes so that sorts that one out! Worrying times especially being so local. Sorry to all those that have lost horses to this...
i also know 2 horse in the Binfield/Berks area that have come down with this, both horses were very sick but pulling through, it's very worrying, as you can't do anything to prevent it unless you stable them constantly.
I've had a few and enjoyed most of them, but some were a little suspect!!

i got some of mine last week but the propell had leaked everywhere, luckily onto a pot of saddle soap and event grease, a little stain on my KL socks and a bi ton my rope but wasn't impressed! Waiting for a few more higher value items now, i hope they come!
i agree Francis and Jock, both rode lovely rounds, but also for me i agree with Joy, she is such an inspirational lady and her partnership with Finn is second to none, she has produced him from a 4 year old and i am priveledged to have her as a friend. Well done to Joy Pod and Finny!!
Thanks for letting me know about the photographer, i agree about the ground, like you i remembered when i walked the course why i hadn't run there for a few years!! The course was nice, i had a hesistation at the step down but otherwise she flew round, it was her first PN and she did a 34, and...
Hollibobs, couldn't have put it better myself!! We are true amateurs, i will never get placed at int, and if my mare breaks down and never competes again i doubt i will ever ride at that level again, my GR horse will never be an intermediate horse, bless her!
Totally agree with you millbrooksong, it has taken me 11 years to get to go intermediate again and i have only ever done 5 in a 17 year eventing span! I can see why BE have done this but rule out people getting placed or gaining points, not those like me who are mereley completing and enjoying...
i agree with the above post, i think its a grey area and to discount everyone who has had a stab at intermediate and as you say those competing regularly for years. I think the points idea is a good one!
So it would appear BE have changed the qualification rule ane you now CAN'T qualify if you have ridden at intermediate in the last 10 seasons!! I can understand it if they made it your couldn't have been placed, or gained points, but it means i now cannot go if i should qualify. I have already...
