    virkon and washing rugs

Yes, I rinsed brushes. I rang Virkon people and asked about rugs, they said wash in machine at 30 or if soaking then dont soak for more than half an hour and rinse. I had my rugs washed in the machine and not reproofed and all was fine and still waterproof. Hope that helps ☺

    Equisal tapeworm test

I sent the sample last Thursday and recieved my results today. I'm wondering if I should be concerned though as he had several double doses of strongid p back in April (under veterinary advice) and yet he's still returned a mod/high result..

    Equisal tapeworm test

I used one last week, horse thought I was going to kill him at first and then realised it wasn't an injection/wormer etc. Just held it in his mouth were he couldn't bite it and job done. Still waiting for my results, not so sure how long they take...

    virkon and washing rugs

Hi. Just wondering if anyone knows whether you have to reproof rugs if they are washed in Virkon? Also should you rinse off virkon from numnah, brushes etc? I can't find any information about this despite searching everywhere! Thanks

Kent and masters saddle reviews please

Just because it tipped forward for one or was a perfect fit for another doesn't mean it will for you. When I was looking for a saddle I read countless posts where they were great for people and then not for others. You really need to try it for yourself and your horse 😊

Kent and masters saddle reviews please

One thing my saddler said to me was the K&Ms are often such a good fit is because they are highly adjustable. Good luck with your search :)

Kent and masters saddle reviews please

Yes, it felt like there was nothing there with the Throrowgood. My boy when first fitted was a huge big round barrell - he's a cob - 14.1. He's lost weight now and has since had the saddle re-fitted and it's still just as good. I also tried a Wintec at the same time, which was a good fit and...

Kent and masters saddle reviews please

I have a K&M Cob saddle, I love it, so comfy and suits my boy well. I tried the Thorowgood T8 at my saddle fitting and I hated, I sat on it for all of 5 minutes before totally dismissing it, it just felt awful! Didn't suit me or my horse in the slightest.

    Uv fly rug for cob

Hi, Well I'm rather gutted, my premier equine super lite fly rug doesn't fit my boy! Looks like he's got a tutu on and I can't even get it close to being done up at the front!! He's 14.2 and usually 5'9 in his rugs. So any recommendations for a uv fly rug for a wide chested cob, it has...

Itchy Horse - any ideas, at my wits end!

Update... Thank you Rock01 and soulfull :-) Just had report back from Westgate labs... no pinworm eggs found and <50epg no eggs on standard worm count. Also just got back from vet visit - she has said to try a steroid cream, betnovate and also atarax antihistimines. She did mention piriton but...

Itchy Horse - any ideas, at my wits end!

Thanks Falconers, I will mention this to the vet tomorrow and see what they say. And thanks amandap, vets called to confirm the time and I said about the cushings test. I have been looking at the aloeride but not many reviews on here. Has anyone tried it? It looks good... If it really...

Itchy Horse - any ideas, at my wits end!

He's on micronised linseed from charnwood. Glad you managed to sort Lucy out and stop her itching. It's so distressing knowing they have an itch they just can't scratch :( Thank you, I shall have a read now, much appreciated. I think I need to retire so I can research all these things! :D
