Hi.

Just wondering if anyone knows whether you have to reproof rugs if they are washed in Virkon? Also should you rinse off virkon from numnah, brushes etc?
I can't find any information about this despite searching everywhere!
Thanks

Did you ever find out?!
I have just bought some Virkon sachets. Was about to wash brushes and rugs, think I would rinse and reproof.

Yes, I rinsed brushes. I rang Virkon people and asked about rugs, they said wash in machine at 30 or if soaking then dont soak for more than half an hour and rinse. I had my rugs washed in the machine and not reproofed and all was fine and still waterproof.
Hope that helps ☺

You don't have to rinse off brushes or rugs when using virkon, just let them dry as normal. I have been using it for many years ( so lucky to have a scientist mother who gets me great big tubs of the stuff) and never needed to rinse it off. You can use it to bath horse and treat minor infections when dilute too.
