I have to agree. So many people are all "welcome back Charlotte". I was so very disappointed in her when I watched "that" video. IMO its very difficult to ensure someone has changed and will never do something like that again, as they felt it was acceptable in the first place which most of us...
I recently bought a 2nd hand Equicoat (now Reincoat), the winter version and I have to say Ive been lovely and dry in it so far, and it quite horrible rain.
What a joke IMO. Pre-novice should have been the lowest BE went (and yes I admit I have done intro's, but only because they were there!). BE is meant to be a level you aspire to, Pony Club and Riding Club are what you do first, then move onto BE if you want to progress IMO. Theyd be better just...
Yeah this. Hell, if I could make enough money by selling feet pics for example on Only Fans then Id do it! Who wouldnt?! There's a mum and my sons school who does Only Fans, personally I think good on her for finding a way to make money that works for her. Feel bad for the son as of course kids...
This. Im not on clay, but I have a large hardcored area (some of which the stable block sits on) so I have a round bale hay feeder sitting on the hardcore yard which encourages them to stand about on it and not muddy the field too much, I have all the stable doors pinned open so they can use...
This. I believe a 2yo needs to be out with other horses to learn so many basic skills like hierarchy etc. I had a Welsh Cob who they said had been kept on his own for a while as a youngster, he was extremely bolshy on the ground and it took a lot of effort to get him sensible! He didnt seem to...
I always think for kids ponies, the best way is word of mouth - contacting your local pony clubs is a great one as nice ponies are often sold around between the clubs and usually the DC can vouch for the pony in question too. You can find some seriously nice diamonds in the rough too (ie. ones...
So I have a horse who has shivers in a hind leg, it was looked into prior to me having her and vet decided it was shivers and left it at that. She does the usual of picking it up while standing about / walking about in the field but never does it while Im riding or while standing while being...
OH works out of stirling, so looks like we may need to move in spring but terrified I cant find what we need! Looking for 4/5 bed home with ideally a couple acres or to rent nearby. North of Stirling only, up to about 1 hour away. Ideally Crieff / Dunblane type area but am flexible as I know our...
Im Aberdeenshire so think we're just a yellow warning, further west is amber I think (although maybe changed by now). Strangely there's not a breath of wind right now! My events been cancelled tomorrow so thats pretty rubbish. We're used to wind up where I live on top of a hill so no preparing...
Not true at all. Im Aberdeenshire where prices are generally a lot lower than probably most of England. Ive never had or heard of any issues getting hold of farriers, saddlers, chiro etc! Maybe harder if you're in the absolute depths of the Highlands or Islands.
Not sure what you mean by game fair - they had plenty of stands (all mainly horse orientated obviously), along with flat, in-hand and ridden showing, WH and arena eventing too. Also BS some days as well.
