That's actually really lovely. Maybe this boy is like that. I do chuck tack on and as quick as possible get my daughter on and he's fab 99% of the time. It's just the brushing and tacking up.shame for my girl though :/ thanks for that though xxx
Hi! So I got a 11.2:) section a for my 4 year old as her first pony. We have had him 2/3 months and I adore him. However my daughter not so much as he has terrible manners and I'm not sure how to deal with it. My 16.3 th is a piece of cake compared!
So he will not stand still to be groomed at...
I had some good advice I think I will just ride him forward and stop trying to play with the reins as all I'm getting is a confused horse who doesn't have a clue what I'm trying to do as I'm just doing it wrong... I don't fully understand what I'm feeling for etc. right I'm going to ride him...
I'm so worried I just started a thread on this now. So just stuff schooling for now and. Ride him forward? So just keep a even consistent contact and get him going forward for now. I'm terrified of ruining him... Bloody lunging him wonky today... Blaaa some ppl shouldn't have horses!! Lol
Hi,
Try keep this short lol. So had one loan horse after another each with issues, old, tanking etc. took back etc. so I sold my old connie to buy a 5yr old tb of livery women. I had seen te horse for months and he is super sweet and well behaved. And the best horse I've ever had, never silly...
Lol thank you, yeah I should have just took the bloody thing off but I thought here's my chance to have a go on my own and I've come home worrying it was wonky and me lunging him in it... Lesson learnt, is unsure dont so it!
I'm fairly new with horses and had one rubbish one after another...
I'm worried I worked him wonky but he seemed fine and could me doing it once cause a problem if it was wonky? I don't get why it was all exactly the same??
Hi,
So I have been shown my my yard trainer how to use the pessoa correctly and have up until now only used it with her. She has put it on with me etc.
Today nobody was at the yard so I decided to have a go on my own (I have a very calm easy horse). I put it on exactly how she shown me but...
Ha some great replys thank you... The first time he was flat out snoring I was frantic thinking he had colic... Now I realise he just sleeps almost all day... He looks so fed up when I drag him up lol x
Haha oh good it's not just him tho. He is generally a lazy horse lol but was worried a little. He is nothing like I thought a young tb would be, he's so sweet :) hope he is just lazy then lol xx
Just a random questions, my new 5 year old TB who is so quite and genteel sleeps lying down a lot. He comes in during the day and will sleep lying down then get up to say hello and 5 mins later be fly out on the flood again. Any ideas why? He looks relaxed, not in pain or anything just always...
I don't see anything wrong with what I have him on... but others keep saying to change it to different things for different reasons.. so not really sure???
Yes!! Hello lol, same pony of course he is too perfect to loose (with the odd blip which he isn't to blaim for!) I have moved to a full livery yard where I have lessons 2/3 times a week now and we have come on so amazingly! He hasn't napped since, comes to me to catch him now, just the most...
:) my instructor is so fab, but she has become my safety net, and im a nerves wreck without her.. I think I will carry on with my lessons twice a week and lunging on the other days.. then maybe try again on my own in time. Im going to get someone to come look at his back as it will put my mind...
