Used a Blaster today for the first time , seems to be a knack to it to get a straight coat , the wind was blowing his fur up on his back end in the pic , he looks ok at the moment but any tips on keeping that just ' blasted ' look to last for the next day when it's show ?

maybe my original post did'nt explain my actual reason for being annoyed very well. Simple, a horse was left out that panic's when the other's are in , not bothered what everyone else does, i'm happy to bring in leave out whatever, but finding out at 8.30 pm last night [ no time to buy shavings...

Because one of the horses left out stress's badly , and having had medical issue's which required surgery , doesn't need to be left galloping round her field all night, mine was out next to her but she panic's if the other's are in , would of been nice to of just had a quick text from Yo saying...

Should also state that their are Working sheepdogs and their are Border collies , in the show ring you will find ISDS collies [ International sheepdog society ] as well as show lines .

Pretty sure [ as we are new to the breed ] that they have'nt long been recognised as show dogs , classes at shows are the same as any other breed, puppy , junior , post grad etc, at breed shows they have special classes for working collies , if the club puts them on , there are border collie...

Great idea on doing the herding test, was fantastic to see Littlethorn colt get made up :-), Blaze is starting his agility career shortly , club secretary is putting a feature on him in the next club newsletter along with photo's of him doing agility , Just found out that the horrid little man...

Thanks guys. Told my daughter he see's Blaze as a threat, Best in show last weekend and Reserve best in show yesterday , can't be that much wrong with him :p

Basically when we went to southern border collie champ show 3 weeks ago we won both classes [ or rather my 13 year old daughter did ] in the 2nd class was a huge face who to my knowledge has only been beat once with that particular dog , ob we came 1st and him 2nd , was amazed and shocked , but...

What lesson would that be ?

Regular grooming , also Yumega supplement reduces access shedding, but if you are worried about dog hair ask why you want a dog in the first place , comes hand in hand i'm afraid :o
