I know... i have an unhealthy obsession with weeds at the min. I moved horses into new place a few months ago before the filed started to blossom! now im wrecked looking all the diffrent weeds up to make sure they are safe, Not as worried about knapweed as much as the silver weed tho:rolleyes:

Is knapweed ok for my horse to eat or should i get rid?? although he seems to like them! its common knapweed

Have you thought about Dannilon same as bute but meant to be gentle on stomach tastes better too

thats ok elizabeth thanks anyway, its a difficult one, there has been a horse grazing on this land for years and is fine, I cant get field spayed now till spring and dont know what to do in the mean time.... weather to move again or if im over reacting xx

DOES ANYONE HAVE OR HEARD OF SILVERWEED GROWING IN PADDOCK?? HORSES DONT SEEM TO BE EATING IT BUT IS IT POISONOUS?? IT HAS FERN TYPE LEAVES AND SOME HAVE SMALL BUTTERCUP TYPE FLOWERS GROWIG WITH IT????

Has anyone come across a weed called silverweed. Its growing all through my paddock and i want to know if its safe for my horses.
