if i can get transport I'll definitely go!! :D went to walk the course and its pretty simple- just will pop him around the 1'6 :rolleyes: the sj course is nice and cos its only 1'6 the xc is basically just rustic fences

Basically everytime me and Merlin attempt cross country its hilarious :D We either charge around at breakneck speed hunt jumping everything:p or he skids to a halt and i fall off:rolleyes: the next time we attempt a hunter trials! (luckily we have improved our approach- he's now in a gag...

:D gotta make do with our ahem 'facilities' and practise more i think :o cant afford to be particular ;D

:D thanks everyone! Merlin has got some nice comments recently from various pc types who say hes a lovely little hunter type with a nice pop on him and at a recent hunter trials he was a lot more behaved than some of the big uns ;)

true :) although i am probably going to do a few shows and for pony club camp it would mean no plaiting :D would have to rug up in rain though as he lives out 24/7

:) i LOVE hogged cobs... but thing is he'd have to be sedated every 3 weeks or so then as he was IMPOSSIBLE to clip this winter :(

I really am so tempted to hog my little cob Merlin but a) he's petrified of clippers and i'd have to re-do it every 3 weeks and b) if i hate it it will take about 2 years to grow back... and my aunt warns me it will always look awful ever afterwards once its grown back BUT i think he would...
