When I was a kid we were given the mantra "what's in the brain goes down the reins". This is basically that very fundamental concept, expanded. Plus gilded a bit by extravagant words & phrases.
As a dance teacher I am naturally very interested in this whole enlarged concept of "thinking it" and...
I saw this on Face-Ache.
Perhaps I should up my game a bit......... dammit the Piebald Pony has been a tad pricey to keep over this winter and I'm sure I could squeeze my ample self into a bikini, or summat........
If I was backing and/or riding-on again: I'd be using the TCS (Total Contact Saddle). Mine is ridden in this now as it is the only saddle I can find to suit her; but if I'd known "back then" what I know now, this is what I would do.
I keep getting FB pop-ups on my feed: which say that if your dog does this i.e. licks paws, then there is very likely a gut/yeast/biome imbalance. I can't vouch for the accuracy of the FB info, just sayin'.
Might be worth asking your vet?
Had you thought about putting in a Track system?? This might work better for you; that way you could put one horse in the middle bit, and the other on the outside; with ours we put the fatties on the outside Track and the skinnies in the centre bit. It works well because that way you don't have...
What I'd be inclined to do is go and have a fitting somewhere and see if you can find something that fits; then look on-line. Naughty I know, but some of us are on a tight budget and so personally I'd do this unashamedly.
However what I will say is that I do have to confess being a tad...
Not everyone's choice I appreciate that but with my flat & short-backed beastie (rotund with it!) the only thing I've found which works for us both is the TCS (Total Contact Saddle).
I am in agreement with the OP and some others on here: all we need on Hi Viz is just something basic and easily understood like "Please Pass Wide & Slow" or similar.
Friend found that an "L" plate on both herself & horse's bum-sheet produced exceedingly consistent good results with drivers...
I had a Techalogic DC1. Actually found it quite hard to set the thing up; you have to manually press a button so-many times, which my butter-fingers really struggled with. That said, you can actually talk to a "person" on their helpline, which was good, but even so I still found the manual...
Hiya. Just completed this for you.
May I congratulate you on formulating what I consider to be an excellent survey. Very easy to fill out, thought-provoking yes, and it was good that you provided an "opt-out" option if people didn't want to fill in certain parts of it.
Hope my responses may be...
We have eight cats here; a combination of ferals we adopted from a farm, plus two old gals, as well as several Toms who pop in when it suits them.
We haven't seen any vermin for a long time now.
If you are in doubt, give your local Cats Protection a ring and have a chat; they will be able to...
When I was a kid, for a while I went to a riding school at Ebford, nr Topsham on the River Exe, in Devon. It was run by a Captain Hewitt who was an ex-Cavalry officer, and who was the father of James Hewitt. I remember James was away at school during the term-time, but came home for the...
I am on Devon pink clay, which is in one of two states: either Summer it is as hard as a bloomin' brick; or Winter it is just pink glue.
I keep mine at home (lucky I know) and this morning I could just hear the rain against the window; like OP it seems like every single day there is a...
See, I have to confess that I'm a bit of a "believer" when it comes to continuous bad occurrences in a place which keep happening over a period of time. When this becomes a recurring theme, it does make superstitious people like me (or perhaps I should say psychicly aware) think that there may...
