Thanks everyone! I feel like most people over rug their horses so didn't want to do that. She will be out 24/7 as that's what she is at the moment and when she was tried in a stable/field shelter type thing, she freaked out and jumped the door!!

So I have just bought a new pony!! She's a 5 year old, black/very dark bay 14.1hh Friesian X Cob. I will be picking her up on Thursday, so that means lots of shopping. I have her tack and most of her stable stuff but am totally confused when it comes to rugs. She's not that hairy at the moment...

So is it best not to change their names?? I've heard of a few horses passing away about a year after the horse's name was changed. She isn't being rescued or anything so would it be best yo leave her with the same name??

Are leather horse boots worth the investment?? Thinking Butet Open Front Tendon Boots and Fetlock Boots for Showjumping. Anyone use them?? Have experience with them?? What about the Cross Country front and hind boots??
