    TB feeding - new option?

Dabdab - but it's still D&H which is a hassle to get where I live. If I'm having the trouble and expense of getting D&H I might as well just keep buying the ERS pellets that work so well for her ;) Honetpot - but I have no idea how to mix something low starch and gut friendly especially as...

    TB feeding - new option?

Sure, I could buy it all separately, but then I would need to know a lot more about horses nutritional needs and also have space to store 10 different types of food etc. I'm ok with paying a manufacturer to mix it all up, it makes if easier for me :) I'm not necessarily looking for the...

    TB feeding - new option?

Oh ok, then I've tried a similar product of another brand though. She wasn't a big fan, but maybe she will eat it from another brand, if I end up needing it :)

    TB feeding - new option?

D&H is horribly expensive where I live (Denmark), so it's cheaper to get from Germany and pay the shipping and always buy big amount to get it a bit cheaper. That's why I thought, if the one from Pavo was any good, I might just try it.

    TB feeding - new option?

Oil is sadly not an option, as she won't eat her food if I put oil in it. Same goes for wet foods such as mash etc. As I said, she's fine on the ERS pellets, so I'm mostly just curious about this one from Pavo, because so few make low starch feeds for anything other than easy keepers, which I...

    TB feeding - new option?

I have a 4 yo TB mare. She's in decent condition, but as many TB's she's not exactly cheap to keep that way:p Aside from lots of hay, she gets ERS pellets from Dodson & Horrell, and it works fine it's just a hassle to get where I live and is expensive. Then I just saw that pavo has a knew...

How to encourage mane and forelock growth?

You can't do much really. It's genetically decided for how long a hair will grow. When the time is up, the hair will "die", you can't feed or wash you to a genetic change. What you can do is take good care not to break the hair "before its time" when grooming and make sure the horse is covered...

    Jonty Evans ....

Claracanter - in terms of more long term survival, sure signs of waking up is great news. But the way the updates have been worded so far, it sounds as though the injuries to his brain has been more than a little serious and having been in a coma for quite a while the likelihood is, that he will...

Why you should never change your dogs food quickly....

Dogs are made for eating what ever comes their way, unless the dog is sick or especially sensitive I really wouldn't have any problems with changing food from day to day. I'd suspect the stomach thing came before the food change. It would also fit with him not wanting his regular food...

Now This Really Is A Shocking Display.....

I really hope this get a lot more and lasting attention than the cases we gave seen before like recently with Townsend and in the past with danish dresssage rider Helgstrand, where people went nuts on social media. In both those cases (and in many like them), it was more of a case of being hard...

    Surfaces for driving?

Grass works just fine, even in winter, when sand and the likes can be unusable.

Andrew Nicholson and loose dog at Bramham

We have dog and do combined driving, which means mostly three day events, so leaving dog at home is not really an option, unless you have unlimited doggie day care which we don't. Dog loves coming with us to events - won't leave the lorry once we start packing and has a good time at the...

    5 point vs. hunting breastplate

What do you use it for? If it's just for attaching the martingale then either would do, it's just a matter of fitting it properly. If it is for keeping the saddle in place, then I'd go for 5-point, a 3-point that attaches to the girth rather than the D-rings or a simple breast girth. A 3-point...

    Dressage on grass - studs

We do almost all dressage on grass, as we do driving and I only remember having used the big studs for dressage one time. For dressage I really don't think anything more than small studs is necessary. At least the surface would have to be absolutely horrendous.

    Hind boots in showjumping controversy

There are different types of boots designed to make the horse more aware of it's hindlegs in one way or another. In my teens I worked at a SJ stable in Germany and at that time it seemed everyone where using boots wit led in them - they had "pockets" where you could add small led plates to give...
