Mine gets it and I hibiscrub and dry like you suggested. But I have him stabled overnight so he's not stood in it 24/7. Realistically your going to need a stable to get rid of it.
I am the only one.
As soon as I could speak, I was always on about ponies. Coming from a non-horsey family, I started riding lessons aged 6. Mum & dad refused to buy me a pony. I bought my first horse last August. My mum has only ever seen him once. Dad has seen him twice. My brother has...
I had a suspiscion that someone was hitting my horse over the stable door last winter, the livery next door. I made a point of telling everyone on the yard that my horse had become headshy and to watch out for anyone hitting him. :D
But your situation is slightly different, as there is only...
Mine is always the last one out. I am the only person on the yard that seems to have a 'proper' job and don't get down til 5.30ish. Everyone else seems to bring in mid afternoon. He occasionally runs about and whinnies, sometimes someone will bring him in for me. But we are supposed to pay for...

In a perfect world I'd want:
a little country cottage with a nice smallish garden.
4 stables and tack room. One for mine, Three for livery.
arena and jumping field.
4 acres grazing.
In a nice location with off-road hacking.
...But this is probably not going to happen.
I'd settle...
From my experience, I think you will need thicker rugs than a mediumweight over winter, even now mine would freeze if I had him in a no fill. My TB is in a 200g mediumweight now and I'm not one for overrugging! The heaviest mine had on last winter was a 360g full neck - quite cheap at around...
I used to ride a trotter that could jump. It was all done with a rather strange technique though!!
The canter is the hardest thing to get, jumping is easier as they can jump from the trot.
I have (finally!) found a potential part loaner for my boy! She is absolutley lovely and I think will be brilliant for him. She is currently doing a weeks trial to see how it fits in with her work, then will decide on how to go forwards.
I am just wondering what you guys would expect to pay...
