    Recommend a feed balancer

HI there i used to feed top spec lite and found it fantastic but have changed to spillers lite as it was cheaper just to see if more cost effective. I found it lasts the same time as the top spec, has the same results & is just that little bit cheaper where we are so I have stuck with it. would...

    Tell me about Welsh D's.....

My D mare is very clever when she is good she is very good & when she is bad she is horrid! She is very forward going, quick & brave & was easy to break. My partbred gelding is also either brilliant or horrid but he is much more laid back & not nearly as brave. Life with a welshie is never...

Do you think your horse will start coming in soon??

Mine still out 24/7 have just started putting on a l/w rug at night. They will be out until at least end of Sept. They are all cobs & its only getting down to 10/11 degrees at night here & they have plenty of shelter with the trees & hedges. I went to get them in this morning as thought they...

    Winter Turnout

Im on diy have option of 24/7 turnout summer & winter. I tend to put my monsters out during the night in summer & in during the day to give them a rest from flies & midgies & to watch the waist line. In the winter I have them in at night & out during the day. Most yards round here offer all year...

    Native ponies and winter?

Hi there my welsh d unexpectedly wintered out from Dec when the shed roof collapsed with the weight of the snow. She wore a rambo wug & did too well, very very fat come spring. We got down to -18 and had no problems with any of the horses being out. (cobs & cob crosses & a hippo). THe only...

Oh god no: Katie Price show will showcase her "incredible horsemanship" - kill me now

I watched one of her programmes when she went on a buying trip & was in hysterics as as she wanted a black one. Love her or hate her she is very entertaining. Perhaps her new show with liviing isnt meant to be educational?

    HELP - really needed.

My mare suddenly stopped eating & lost a lot of weight. She had a shiny coat, no temp & was just a bit hangy & not herself. The vet recommended a 5 day course of panacur equine guard even though she had been on a strict worming programme since a foal. THe vet called it the nothingness illness...

Sacroiliac Joint - urgent advice needed!!

My horse damaged his sacroiliac joint. He had 12mths in total off work as the vet said I could either spend a lot of money investigating the problem & various treatmments or let nature take its course. As my boy was never going to be a superstar & I'm normally fairly skint I left him out in the...

Can I trim my horse's beard for M&M...

I do mine a few days before. Less stress & less chance of taking off too much. I have Welsh mares & they look so much better when they aren't pretending to be bearded ladies!

Can I trim my horse's beard for M&M...

It depends on the breed. I trim my welshies but leave the highlands & shetlands well alone and hairy

Would she do well in a coloured class?

technically she would be eligible however if I am being totally honest she may look a bit out of place as she looks grey. Conformation. type & way of going is taken into consideration but the colour & markings also make an impression with the judge. I say this as at our local show a girl with...

    Blue Chip Original

I used to use blue chip which was great but have now switched to top spec. I have found its equally as good but in our neck of the woods its much much cheaper then blue chip. At the moment mine are all on top spec lite & nothing else. The switch has made quite a differnce to my wallet.

What size saddle for petite 11.1hh pony?

I have a very petite welsh sec A for my nephew. He started in a cub saddle but we moved onto a 15" Thorowgood pony club saddle as he is 8 now. (bum got a bit big for the cub) Although it is 15" it is quite a small saddle more like 14" really which is great as the pony is very short coupled. It...
