I have never done this before but I always have a slight urge to then I chicken out as I don't want to jeopardise her placings in case the judge thinks, 'eew she's trimmed!' LOL!
My horse hasn't got a huge beard just a few hairs there but I know it will enhance her jawline if I trim them.
I don't know if it will look silly though as she is completely untrimmed in every other way, she isn't THAT hairy, she has plenty of mane and tail, as expected, but just normal feathers etc.
It just may enhance her pretty pony-like head which is true to the breed standard.

Any other people her with M&M's that do shows and trim beards?

I do mine a few days before. Less stress & less chance of taking off too much. I have Welsh mares & they look so much better when they aren't pretending to be bearded ladies!

I would trim it for a section D. If you do it a a couple of days before then it will look more natural than if you do it the day of the show.

Years ago we used to candle the beards off when we used to show our welshies....you hold a candle underneath (not very close) and the heat makes the hair burn up and you get a very natural look. Need to do it about a week before though as you get bobbles which brush off after a couple of days.
