Many people are arrogant. Many sportspeople are extremely arrogant. That in itself is not a crime. It may be unpleasant but it doesn't break any rules.
More like racehorses less like show jumpers. Some look quite lean. Probably didn't have the dressage capability that a lot do now or the muscles that develops.
Interesting watching the old coverage. You can see the Dot Willis 'long arms short reins' training - it does look much tidier than some of the flappy stuff that happens sometimes now.Blimey Stark must have been brave!
Some of those courses did look pretty technical and I though Badminton this...
Perhaps it helped that Classic Moet had had a nice stay in Southern Spain where the weather was not always clement but I'm sure the lovely facilities at Vejer helped with the fittening when the beast from the east was blowing here.
I assume if you've heard 'horror stories' you've reported them to the relevant bodies - or is this just more unverifiable rumour.
As for questioning his remorse - how do you know? All this is supposition, rumour and opinion.
