I know someone who dips into agility (with success) but mainly works her spaniels. Her comment on seeing some of the teeny WCS was "I'd love to see them picking up a pheasant !"

When I was a teenager I had a chi , my mum bred and showed GSDs . A local police dog handler often visited and my chi frequently tried to bite him . When he found his teeth couldn’t get through police issue boots he resorted to peeing on them 😂

If I wanted a greyhound I would get a rescue, though here they are not free. However, I did not want a greyhound, I wanted a specific breed with specific qualities which is why I went to breeders who spent years improving their lines.

I watched that and was surprised when the couple were offered the Mali . Yes their dog ( looked Dutch Shepherd cross or similar ) was a rescue but she was super friendly nothing like that Mali . I’m actually glad he did have a pop at the guy so quickly as I was worried they might take it home ...

I've heard that a few times too. Seems we aren't allowed to own our pets any more. 😏

Just how do they manage to do that ? There is just him and me in a king size bed and I frequently wake up balancing on just a few inches 😂

I loathe the term "fur baby", but my little dog sleeps on the bed, as have various dogs since I was a child. He doesn't "own" the bed, although for a dog barely weighing 8 kg he does take up a lot of space :p. I think he has a pretty good dog life, has regularly exercise and training...

I was thinking of John Ward too . The Disneys were very active in the 70s but don’t think they have any connections with the breed now .

I was very involved in the breed in 1976 so any further information you can give would help .

A good suggestion from paddy to contact Sandra Tucker, but without paperwork it's going to be a tough one. How long ago was this, and do you have any other clues to help, a kennel name would be a great help, or was it just someone with a one off litter ?

I've not got a link but friend has just seen a post from someone looking to rehome an in whelp Cane Corso because their new flat doesn't allow dogs !

Just to add , I had a very fit 12 year old develop a pyo . She came through surgery ok but went steadily downhill and we had her pts a few days after the op .
