Long time since I’ve been there , for May show GSD rings were outside but yes I recall the halls were a bit grim . My lasting memory of SKC is that it was the show where parvo first appeared in the Uk . We had 2 dogs who became ill and a litter of pups who were very sick but amazingly survived .

    Stitches 5 days in

As Susie says, use a t shirt to cover it. Or if you can find someone who could lend you a medical t shirt that would be best.

I admire your stamina . If anything is more than 1.5 hours from me I don’t bother ! 😛

    Irresponsible Owners

When my GSD was about 9 months old we were sitting in a local town square with friend and her GSD just watching the world go by, doing lots of focus stuff, when a woman with a labrador headed for us announcing "I promised her she could come and say hello". The roar of "No" from myself and...

Changing a dogs posture, is it possible?

If you’re already seeing a physio what are their thoughts on the lameness ? My lad has regular physio after surgery as a pup which includes exercises which are designed to help strengthen his weaknesses in construction which I suppose includes posture .

A question for anyone who has used their male dog at stud.

We had a stud dog who was used quite a bit and he was never an issue . He only bothered when a female was at their height , ignored them in the early days . I think sometimes if a dog only has one stud it can leave them a bit more obsessed but not always .

I I think the physio my lad goes to sees quite a few dogs with IVDd but the referral vet will tell you when it’s recommended I’m sure .
