I rent 11 acres for 200 a month with water and permission to put our own shelters up, with a fenced of grass school. Works out at about £6.50 livery per pony per week.

A Fell, Dales, Highland or cob should be well upto carrying that weight so thats your natives and cobs Then I would say warmblood, cleaveland bay, Irish draft types also. So lots of choice there for you.

Libra trec are quite reccomended as good basic treeless saddle if you can get one on ebay or something second hand, I have a cheap treeless saddle just to get the ponies used to wearing a saddle/

A day off the ponies today my field mate is feeding them all and checking on them. So once my fuzzy head had worn off a little I am off out for a riverside walk with my German Shepherd :) Great way to spend the new year as it is a sunny day here with blue skies :)
