Unfortunately the pony can’t be vetted at owners , they are not physically able to do this or able to have help .. Thanks for all the reply’s , possibly vet soon as I can after arrival .
Im in the process of taking a 4yr old on a trial ,after not purchasing a horse for over 20 yrs im not in the loop re vetting, I still own and ride a pony,should I have it vetted as soon as it arrives or just before the trial is up, the pony was unable to be vetted at owners due to genuine...
My daughter is a very competent rider,not a child but an adult, her gelding regularly competes,hacks alone and in company and with other mares and she has no issues with him,perhaps I did wrongly word the question ,this is a new mare I have and he seems infatuated ,my daughter rides him forward...
My daughters gelding has been riding right up behind my mare almost leaning on her behind, she bucks and kicks he isn’t deterred and my daughter struggles to keep him away as he naps if she tries to get him to move away ..is there something I could put on my mares tail possibly something...
Have heard that RD Sporthorses are reputable and will exchange if not suitable, don’t know if they still deal in ponies/cobs or more large riding horses, Louise Morrison In Aberdeen gets good reputation.
Thanks for reply, I've obviously made her out to be worse than she is as vet said not lame just stiff and yes she's better if kept in work , Wouldn't ride a horse that needed Danilon or Bute to be comfortable.
Try a product called stepfree from Hack Up ,I had a Bespoke supplement from them when I moved my horse to new premises and it worked wonders but the step free is something that u can try before possibly having a Bespoke supplement made for what suits your horse
Looking for recommendations for a supplement/product that will ease/soothe the joints of my 24yr old mare, we only hack up to 5 days a week for an hour or so and very rarely trot as it's all roadwork and she can feel pottery on uneven surfaces and be very slow downhill. DO NOT want to use Bute...
Thanks for reply ,Always had vettings done and unfortunately haven't found anything apart from my current horse of 17yrs that didn't fail,all been at dealers yards so hence very wary of them and private sale unless via word of mouth.
Does anyone have any experience or information about this dealer, based just outside Edinburgh.I am thinking of going to view a ride and drive pony he has for sale...any info good or bad greatly appreciated before I make the journey to view as only seen what's on his Facebook page ..Thanks
