    The decision

Last November I had to make that decision with my 15.5yr old Whippet. My vets were happy to come to the house so he could go with his friends and family around him. I think, on the whole as my old vet said, they tell you when they are ready to go. Snip woke me at 1am to go out, when he jumped on...

    Boggle- USA bound!

We have a 12.5yr old and 7 year old, both bitches, and now a 5month old dog puppy. The older one grumbles, growls and snarls then snaps at the puppy who rolls over waves his feet in the air then goes back for more. Occasionally she will nip him then he lies totally still until she looks at him...

    Vet Bills…..Panorama….BBC 1

I had my Whippet put to sleep at home by the new independent vet I use in November for £340 which I thought was very reasonable as it was a semi-emergency call (i.e. I rang that morning)

    Making "that" decision

I made this decision on 20th November, my whippet (15.5yrs) had nothing "wrong" with him medically but he looked at me and his eyes said he had had enough. Thankfully I had moved vets as I know my previous vets would have tried to prolong his life. I explained to the new vet I wanted him to have...

    Just a strange oddity!

I react to grey horses - great when we had a coach team of greys. My hands and arms swell up and itch. No problem with any other colours.

    Vet Monopolies

I have recently changed vets having been with the previous one for 30 years. My whippet is 15.5yrs old and has two heart conditions, lousy teeth and pancreatic issues all of these he has had for at least 5-7 years. He is on Vetmedin as one of his heart drugs. I was paying the original vets £70+...

    Whippets

My Whippet is 14.5years old (pic below) and as a youngster was a brilliant ratter - today despite his sight not being great and having a few less teeth he still managed to catch and kill a rat as big as his head - much to the younger cats annoyance. They are a lovely breed. Snip is my second...
