My understanding is that no-one should be moving yards whilst we’re in lockdown.
I’d like to but I phoned the BHS first and they said that the government had told them that unless it’s a horse welfare issue it’s not allowed under the rules. Makes sense I guess as we’d be mixing with new folk.
I've got an Albion K2 which is lovely and comfortable and I'd like to get another for my 2nd horse. I've seen one for sale which is an Albion Legend rather than a K2. Does anyone know what the difference is between them?
Many thanks for your help.
Thanks to everyone who's contributed to this thread.
Would you mind if I just asked a couple of semi-related questions?
We've got Strangles on our yard because one of the liveries bought a new horse of unknown origin to the yard. One of the other liveries said to the YO straightaway that the...
There's a rumour that my yard owner is looking at charging £20 for a trailer and £25 for a lorry. A month!
Personally the word extortion springs to mind but I'd also like to be clear on where I stand insurance-wise.
If someone bashes my lorry whilst parked at the yard, is the YO liable if...
If you search 'Sands Farm Eventers Challenge' on You Tube you can see last year's comps and get an idea of the jumps. They can be quite tricky, but it maybe outside this year as the weather's been nice.
Hope this helps xx
My and several other pairs of Hunters haven't lasted long at all. I've emailed Hunter and they've not even bothered to reply. My local stockist says they're arrogant to deal with so he's not going to re-stock them.
Hunters will be the next Woolworths/Burberry I predict...
I thought I'd read this thread as it's something I've worried about too as road debris could easily fly in and hit your horse which is why it's common to have small windows and larger windows which have bars.
One point I wanted to make though was that horses sometimes struggle to balance with...
Welcome to my world! My horse keeps pulling off his shoes so I've taken to turning him out in o/r boots which has been working fine.....
Except last Saturday he was on Full Livery and the Saturday girl SAYS she puts the puts on, but he's lost a front shoe.
Grrrrrrr!
Is it possible to lose a...
I bought one from ebay (not one of these actual ones) and it wasn't waterproof. However, with this one it says it is waterproof and if it turns out not to be; it's now quite easy to get your money back when you pay by Paypal. I'd go for it!
I think, physchologically, you did the right thing by getting back on. OK, maybe not the most sensible for your injury though!
Do what you can until you get your eye sorted and then when you start riding again do what you feel comfortable to do and gradually you'll get your confidence back in...
