    Help - escaped again!

My very naughty horses have just escaped again for the second time in 3 days and run riot across the countryside over ditches etc (maybe they're trying to tell me they want to go hunting). In electric fencing with wooden posts which is on but one's jumping it and then my other runs through it to...

day one on crutches and going mad already :((((

Please can I join in - not on crutches but smashed up my left arm so now pinned and plated and already mad with boredom! No driving/riding/wash - can't even put a bra on on my own - grrrrrrrrrrrr! Also non-horse related which infuriates me further - slipped on a wet floor! Apparently no riding...

Working horse owners, tell me what you do

I echo the fact all graduate jobs are rubbish to start with. I've been qualified as a doctor just over a year and whilst probably earnt a few grand more than a vet on graduation due to job allocation was based in 2 hospitals 30 miles apart so all of that was taken up by fuel. We have rubbish on...

Does anyone else feel guilty about juggling jobs and horses?!?!

Yep - I'm there with you on the guilt. I've got a 5 year old who really needs working 6 days a week but struggling to hit 5 at the moment and an 8 year old who's had 2 years off so I'm trying to do a bit with every day but failing at present. Love riding after work but am so shattered it's...

    Dressage and Body protectors?!

Glad it's not just me - extreme dressage pretty much describes us too at the moment I think - he just finds it soooooo exciting! Think I will definitely carry on wearing it at the moment and avoid all photos (he normally thinks the camera man is a scary monster anyway so no great loss)!

    Dressage and Body protectors?!

I just wondered if anyone wears a body protector when first taking youngsters to dressage?! I had a nasty fall at home a few years ago and fractured some vertebrae so am completely neurotic since then and have worn it for my youngsters first 2 (unaffiliated) outings as he has a tendancy to ping...

Going from one horse to two?

I went from 1 to 2 just as I qualified as a doctor (owner offered to pay for the 2nd so would have been stupid to refuse) Had them both on DIY with 5 days in a row of on-calls and was tiring but perfectly doable so sounds like you won't have any problems! Definitely worth doing and the one...

    Changing Passport

Hi, I just wondered if anyone had any advice on how to change a horses passport. I've just bought a horse I had on loan who has been passported by a meat company (apparently his breeder did it to keep it cheap) and don't really want him to have this one forever! Thanks!
