Help - escaped again!

My very naughty horses have just escaped again for the second time in 3 days and run riot across the countryside over ditches etc (maybe they're trying to tell me they want to go hunting). In electric fencing with wooden posts which is on but one's jumping it and then my other runs through it to follow him. They have grass and hay in their field and are happy together so have no idea why they are escaping and a bit stuck as to how to stop them. They've been out together for a year and a half and never done it before this week!

All ideas very very welcome!!!

mains charger not battery, definitely. however, in winter with thick rugs on some horses are smart enough to realise they can't feel the elec, in which case take a short piece of light chain, or a short piece of electric tape, and do a loop of that vertically from neck of rug downwards, up inside, and back to itself, so that if they touch the elec the charge carries inside to touch their skin.

Check your fence is working properly, mine started to push on the fence and I found it was a problem with the earth connection
