That would be a reasonable assumption. But then the announcer would call it ‘unfortunate elimination for blah blah’ etc. and the following ponies would be aware. I think it may have been about something a steward spotted. But they are with an experienced crew of adults who know the FEI rules. 🤷♀️
It is in need of some TLC. It is a great show. Amazing atmosphere, but looking on the TV, it just does not translate. Just an observation. I hope it gets a facelift. I hope it stays in Dublin.
The groundskeeper in Aviva (about 1400 meters away) has the pitch in amazing condition on the TV with...
The French really set the tone with their equestrian venue. Watching Dublin Horse Show Nations Cup. It looks shamefully jaded and arena is patchy looking. I was wondering why I never noticed before. Then remembered Versailles was the last competition viewing on the TV here. The contrast is stark.
Have you ever thought of simply returning Boggle home?? I lived in the US. Really did not settle. First time I had a relaxed breath out of my body was when I came back to Europe and put my suitcase on my parents kitchen floor. Perhaps Boggle would like to come home. Just a thought.
Perhaps horse welfare was not as broad a concept pre 1950. But neither was the knowledge bank or veterinary medicine so deep as it is today.

Once had to poultice a gelding for five weeks. It was worth it. His...
With the current ‘flux’ about passports in HSI, I would hold off sending them anything for a little while. When things are settled they have a naming form that you can download and print. It gives you the option to pay for registered post for the passport return, so no need for you to buy any...
As a 9/10/11 year old, I longed for jods with a front zip. I thought my pair with zip on the hip were so old fashioned. Now in my fifties I would love a pair with the zip on the hip. Perhaps they are still out there, but I never come across them.
Is it possible to repair/re cover a worn rubber bit? It seems very wasteful to junk it because the black rubber cover/coating has been chewed through. Or is it feasible to return to manufacturer for recycling?
All replies appreciated.
Competition Livery - folks is there an established protocol for prize money won by a pro on your horse. Do they keep it, or is dependent on what is agreed? If anyone could steer me I would appreciate it.
