    Derby House rugs?

Non of my bargain DH rugs have leaked Iwantakitten, so I'd contact them. My WB has had two for 4 years now. A Few repairs but still going strong. Sadly they're not robust enough for little legs as he has to have 100 denier plus.

    Shocked by this from WFP

I'm a strong believer in Natural Selection, but then it also annoys me when the NHS is stretched to the limit by people who prove the theory, and others are left waiting in corridors because of it!

Changing head plate of kent & masters?

Turn it upside down on your knee with the pommel facing you. Use an allen key to undo the two outer screws, making sure you dont loose the washers off the end - remember lefty loosey, righty tightey. You should then be able to slip the panels down from the head plate on either side and undo the...

    Horse friendly pubs

No tie points, but were on a theme in the area, the Derwent Walk Inn, the Chelmsford Arms at Ebchester, and The Fox and Hounds at Coleburns are all happy to accomodate riders. The Derwent Walk does fab hand cut chips too.

    Trailer Breakdown and RAC dispute

I know fully that my RAC cover doesn't include the horse, so I know, and have experienced the feeling when you're hours away from home with black smoke emitting from your vehicle, and your thinking ****. The RAC recovery drivers and the mechanics are not experienced in dealing with livestock...

Dumbest thing a supposedly clued-up horse person has told you?

Equidae Sweet Itch is an allergic reaction to midge bites, no amount of delousing powder or decomax injections or anything else that kill lice are going to have any effect on a horse that has sweet itch. Louse infestations are louse infestations and will generally have the same itchy affect on a...

    Doctors vs vets

Can you imagine if everyone in this country thought that they were getting free treatment of their pets, on call 24/7 no weekends/ no bank holidays? Your vet would also have a stupid waiting list and ridiculous appointment times, and results. I rue the day the no nonsense GP moved from our...

New in the North East - happy to get your support :)

That might be a good idea! Another thought, try contacting the vets in the area such as Intake or Bearl. Find out what therapies they will refer to or what is in short supply in the area.

New in the North East - happy to get your support :)

Hi Claudia! Horsey shops in the area used to be many and are now reduced to Mole Valley Farmers and possibly Equine and Country. Further a field as mentioned there's Houghton, Horseworld, Claires, New Century, Thinford, Mill house. There are a huge number of local publications you could use, but...

Which bit for a fussy mouth?

Straight bar nathe full cheek here too, after trying several bits, including most of the Neue schule bits, french link, jointed, hanging cheek etc. He stopped head shaking and snatching straight away, and we've never looked back.

    Does towing wreck your car

Pickup has 135k on and was used to tow a caravan when I got it at 80k. At some point yes it will need a new clutch, but that will be down to it's age and not the way it has been driven!

    Snares !!!!

Are you saying an 11 year old child only has the intelligence of a dog when it comes to traffic and how to cross a road? Because I was taught not to cross a road when a car was coming at the age of 6, and to this day I don't tend to step out in front of oncoming cars!
