I’ve just bought the megasaurus of all wheelbarrows. It’s not one of the two wheel types but a giant standard one and I absolutely love it. I can do a whole weeks worth of two ponies out in the daytime, in two trips with it (although the first time I used it I forgot to check how much air...
I’ve already said above that I’m not going to hire. I want something there in case it’s needed in an emergency. I understand that in some ways it would make sense but I wouldn’t be able to just get up and choose to go and visit new rides on a lovely day if i had to hire.
Mines not quite that hefty on tax, £300 odd and insurance isn’t too bad either. The comfort and ease with which they tow is far better than either of my previous cars.
This could be a good plan, I like this idea!
I’ve actually just got back from having the car looked at and it is just a hose (yay) and is peanuts to fix (double yay).
The Kia Sorento is a fab vehicle for towing. I wouldn’t want to change it because it’s ‘not a good vehicle’.
It’s all personal preference. I for one would not want to tow with a vehicle which was not a 4x4 and would question whether a non 4x4 Rav was even legally capable of pulling...
I do like to go out with my friends and do usually give lifts but to be fair I myself do only have a 14.1 and a 10.2hh and together they come in at around 650kg. My trailer was also revamped by the person I bought it from and I am considering changing it as he changed the floor and lower part of...
Ah, that’s a good point about lorries. I think that’s a good idea to just see about getting the most economical towing car if I find this ones going to cost a bomb to fix or going forward it’s too depressing to see extra cash going into the fuel tank.
Mmnn, yes that’s the other thing. I do love driving my car, it’s comfy and responsive.
I did take into account the extra cost in fuel too so I’m not out of pocket (slightly better off even after the extra fuel to be honest, but only by a small amount) but I’m predicting that it might...
So, I thought I’d start a second thread so I didn’t Piggy back the other one as my reasons for considering the change from my trailer to a lorry is different.
I currently have a Kia Sorento and IW 505 trailer. I love towing but rarely go out, maybe once or twice a month in summer (although...
They are not all bargy and opinionated though! I have a wonderful Haffie mare who is not like that in the slightest. She is however very sensitive and took a long long time to develop her trust in me. I trained her (with help) up to Elementary Dressage, she was always extremely willing to learn...
Oooh ooh ooh, me and my friend literally just did this yesterday :)
The bits on her sheet are from an old corn field - the ends of the stalk with the roots attached and some actual bits of picked clean corn, and a Crow :-)
