Those boots! I used to love riding in them.. That is until I got bronced off.. And as they have no support, I broke the bottom of my tibia! All thanks to those boots!
People aren't criticising they are trying to help, when you fall those boots do nothing! I've learnt that!
Thank you all for your help! Will let you know how the day goes!
5 days to go and counting!
Ps- what is this rescue remedy everyone is talking about?! X
I have already thought about that one, we are only doing the ridden if she behaves and does well, she may comoletely flip in the in hand and then we shan't push her :)!
I'm just unsure of ways to keep her calm and happy whilst we are there! And also how to calm myself! Haha x
Can't quote your post as I'm on my phone.
I would usually do that however as it was another horse that broke my leg I stick to my own horses now to prevent the situation reoccurring :( x
Hmm, the most 'fun' I have had us just spicing things up a bit! I shared a cob once (before I got my own horse) - who had a large exercise ball (the ones you get in gyms) and he could okay football for hours with you on him! Made schooling much more fun!
Also, I find that simple changes I.e -...
I am about a stone lighter than you and ride a 15'3 Irish Hunter (finely boned though)! And we have no issues! We hunt and jump 1.10cm! As long as you aren't opting for a Shetland I think you're safe! X
Hi guys!
So, I'm off with my 4yo Irish Hunter (temperamental mare!) - to our first in hand and ridden show this weekend.
We hunted all last season and was very confident together. 👍
In the winter I was horrifically bronced off by another hunter (not one of mine) and broke my leg...
Looks as though people have already established what the term means;
However, I would like to add that many people use this method as it is said the horse will then live on in the hounds and continue running free, full of adrenaline, across the beautiful countryside.
