No idea re: starch etc, I used to get the cubes/pencil types for Boo as they'd soak into mush.

QR I was told as a young teen that if I jumped in the paddock my pony would get red worm.... I'm not sure if they were telling me the jumping itself would do it, or grazing the pony in around the jumps....
