    Olympia Kur Thread

Not sure if it makes me unpatriotic but the last test was my favourite. Dont know how technically correct it was but it was the most entertaining and fun. Loved the extended trot.

    One Little Moment

Charlotte stole my music :D I did a dressage to music years ago on a highland pony call Buster, my music was the theme from the Dambusters and The Great Escape. We won as well!!

    One Little Moment

The one particular moment that sticks in your mind, am not thinking medals or big stuff, just a little thing you heard or saw that will remain a olympic memory. For me it was watching Carls Kur Test, watching piaffe from behind and Utopias bottom wiggling in time to the music :D

    Para Olympics - Flame

Can anyone advise why the olympic flame was turned off before the paralympics had even started. Surely as olympians they are entitled to the flame. Not trying to start an argument was just curious as to if there was a reason for it.

Hindlimb check ligament injuries - not quite CR but hey ho.

Star, glad you got to the bottom of it, hope he makes a speedy recovery. To be honest i dont know, am assuming not huge as the estimate recovery time not too bad. He's also got spavins in his hock which will need addressing but at 17 and an ex-showjumper i wasnt suprised at that.

Hindlimb check ligament injuries - not quite CR but hey ho.

My horse has just been diaognoised as having a tear in his right hind check ligament. There was no real swelling, just an intermitant lameness that neither me or my vet could put our finger on so we sent him for a gamma scan, which showed up the possible injured area, which a ultrasound...

    'Horsey people are bizzare'

So true, OH and i both ride horse and bikes, that protective gear doesnt come cheap :p When my OH used to showjump, as he went into the ring, parting words were always "dont let them cut off my boots" :D bit tongue in cheek but it became like a mantra, our version of good luck.

    Dressage Instructor Warrington

Arley Moss Equestrian are having a dressage on 29th April, think prelims are 1 and 18. Tests are held in the indoor which is nice, light and airey, and there is a large warm up arena. The people running it are very friendly but i would say that as i help out :D. Seriously though they try to...

Dressage - Whats the biggest (no of competitors) you've ridden in?

So 26 is actually quite small :D Comps are run at the yard i am based at, and I am part of the team who help run it on the day so its good that numbers are increasing, maybe it means we are doing a good job. I normally write for the judge or do scores so am glad am actually entered in the...

Dressage - Whats the biggest (no of competitors) you've ridden in?

As title really, just got my times for my test on Saturday and counted 26 in class which seems huge to me and is definately the biggest class i've ever competed in. So wondered what others thought, is that quite big or the norm for most people.
