With my birthday fast approaching and family and friends asking what I'd like, I thought I'd ask your advice on helmet cams before I put one on my list!
I don't want anything pricey as I'd only be using it on the occasional hack. Key features are that it produces a good recording (not...
My horse is quite close behind and, when hacking on uneven terrain, he frequently brushes his hooves together. I've tried using a sausage boot to prevent damage to the hooves, but it doesn't work. Is there anything else I can try apart from putting overreach boots on his hinds?
Thanks
Pip
Has anyone had their horse's sarcoids treated with mitomycin injections? If so, where was the sarcoid, how many times was it injected and what was the outcome?
Thanks, Pip.
Wow, just logged back on and seen all the replies. Thank you all so much, there are some really valid points here to consider. I'll start by seeing how the next ride together goes and making sure we have a decent gap between us when riding side by side. Yard/field wise nothing has changed, it's...
Thanks for your replies. Physically my horse is fine - over the past week he's had extensive tests due to not being very forward in the school. This has included vet, physio, dentist and saddler and everything has checked out fine so I know pretty much for sure it's nothing physical.
Nothing...
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this. I've had my horse for 3 years, all of which have been spent at the same yard in the company of one other horse. They've always got on perfectly and have never so much as flicked an ear back at each other; until this morning's hack. My horse...
I agree with nikicb, not cruel at all as long as it's done slowly and carefully. Sounds like you had a good relationship with him before which I'm sure will help. Good luck and post some updates :)

Thanks HP. Luckily my boy doesn't rub when he's wearing the rug so it's lasting quite well. The snuggy is £135 and the Z itch is cheaper at £80 so not too pricey. I'll have a look at the Rambo though. Lots of horsey shopping planned for Badminton so it's good to do some research first!

Has anyone used a Z-itch rug for horses affected by midges? I've got my horse in a snuggy bug body with the neck attachment which does a great job (he doesn't have full blown sweet itch to the extent he breaks the skin, but he's very itchy without the rug). I was planning on buying another...
My vet has done an initial assessment and agrees there is some tenderness over one side of the SI joint and that he's not working well from behind. She's going to do some nerve blocking next week and the bone scan will be the next step to determine how bad it is.
I know what you mean about...
Equinola. It's revolutionised my morning muck out! Honestly the best (and cheapest at £6.60 a bag) bedding I've ever used. My horse is quite messy in the stable and I was getting through a bale of shavings every 3 days plus having to lift the rubber mats and hose out because pee was streaming...
