Hi all can anyone recommend any yards that offer assisted DIY livery near clavering (CB11). I have visited west Essex saddlery to look at their adverts but just wondering if anyone knows of any small quiet yards that might suit with a ménage nearby. Thanks in advance.
Thanks all for your replies. We have regular lessons and of those a jumping lesson every other week. The circling does really help settle her before the fence so will have to go back to that. My instructor was also of the opinion that we need to make her halt a few strides after the jump but...
After some advice - my 7 year old works very nicely in a NS verbinden on the flat but when the jumps go up she is like a kid in a candy shop and gets a little over excited! Once she lands (even over the smallest of fences) she often runs on, not particularly strong but just seems sooo excited...
Hiya,
Have you had your Uvex hat back yet? I returned mine to them after speaking to really helpful lady but since then have had no reply to any e-mails and when I telephone and say who I am they cut me off. Now wishing I had not bothered sending it back in July as it has taken ages and not...
I have entered a couple of classes at Keysoe tomorrow but cannot see me even getting my trailer out of my yard. If I do manage to get it down the sheet ice on the driveway I have a lovely snow drift to contend with on the way to the main road.
I am going to hold out on a definite decision...
Could you use another liveries stable whilst their horse is out for a few hours in the daytime to allow your girl to have some hay or are you saying the fields are now shut to the stabled horses?
Failing that is there a school/arena you could ask to use overnight and put some hay out. I...
I don't really see the point of this.... is it a contest? All horses are individuals so surely what someone else does with their horse should not make any difference to us.
Wow what a good day out and a cracking finale to the years competing. Next report can we have some pictures of you both dressed in the blue and pink of the sparkle doll (with handy hairbrush nearby ;)) Well done
we tried lungeing over a couple of poles with my girl after the chiropractor recommended it. I would sometimes raise them at one end to make her pick up her legs (especially hinds) even more. It has taken a long time but finally she is getting a round bum instead of a triangle!
my Steve Mc Queen wannabe has been limbo'ing under the electric fence all week to get to the nice grass setting off my other poor mare left alone on the boring side!!! but far worse than that she ate a drawing pin last night from the feed room door! now have to keep an eye on her for next few...
She is a beautiful horse and her name really suits her. How about just shortening it to Bea (B) as her stable name, easier to shout across the field! :D
Hi, I have two horses that are mother and daughter both about 16.2. Mum horse can be nervous and would quite often take upto an hour to load in a lorry. We now have a ifor williams 510 and without the partition and a full width breast bar she loads after just a quick check that no horse eating...
