    Is it a notifiable disease then? I thought the owner did the right thing by isolating and restricting movement the day he was aware of the positive result? Do the owners legally have to tell the yard owner? And what about the vet.... Do they have to stay confidential to the owner in a strangles...

    They are isolated. Both horses are turned out in a field at the back of the premisis. The yard is no longer able to compete/hack until the horse gets 3 clear swabs and there are no new cases.     Thanks cedars, it's definatly the truth. I have seen my friends (who is a livery) open letter that the yard released confirming the case. There is also a note on theirs coffee room notice board.
