Hm, interesting. Totally get what you mean about close contact saddles and thickness - dont really understand people using half pads under them which seems to be popular atm.
My saddle isnt actually close contact - its a dual flap GP, but it does have a v girthing system though so cant...
Should probably have clarified the saddle is fitted specifically to work with about 1.5cm depth of wool because this is how she prefers things.
Yes of course in a textbook world wed all ride with a baby pad alone, but in reality horses often need different things because theyre all...
Oh wise people of the ponynet - I have a merino+ dressage square. Its great. It gets the wool actually next to the fur, wicks sweat, easy to wash. Love it.
Saved up for on for the eventing saddle, excitedly awaited delivery, but omg the wool depth is so thin! Plus theres no true rolled...
my friend had a snuggy suit for her NF - i actually thought he was going to liquify a few days it was so hot under the rug (we took it off and hosed for the record ;) )
I use the Rambo fly buster with vamoose and really like it - all the horseware models seem to fit fifferently and the ones...
We're at a different yard this year with a lot more mares (we were one of two girls at the last place, the other being a lovely cheeky NF OAP) and mine's been so super stressed, tense and anxious when she came into season this year - she likes to keep everything under control (when riding this...
thanks guys :) :)
I've wondered about the Husks, but struggled to find any 'independent' reviews (I.e. Not on Husk FB). They sound pretty good, as do the cheaper stretch & flex. Decisions!
Has anyone used real fleece lined boots?
Wondering what everyone's fave boots for general schooling in the warm are?
My young ponio is still naturally learning where her feet go, and not so strong behind so has a tendancy to knock/tread on herself from time to time especially after a growth spurt (thank you spring grass!!) which I...
I have one! Borrowed from my bodyworker initially and it made such a huge difference to my young mare I bought one.
I use it between saddle cloth and saddle rather than directly on the back.
Love that it has a really good 'drape' and moulds immediately to her back shape unlike gel mesh...
Brilliant, thanks guys! Always wondered about the HM's unusual round tread- have you ridden in them DD? Wasn't sure if they'd be either crazy stable or a bit unwieldy?
Like the lightweight aley's! And that the tech's are slightly angled in the footbed too :)
Anyone tried the Lorenzini's?
Hey all
Sorry know this may have been partially done to death.... After much umming-and arr-ing was on the verge of buying a lovely pair of (blue) Jin's from preloved (!!) but on checking out the company's shiny website don't think I can reconcile to it knowing they produce/sell elephant hide...
This thread is really interesting - I'm a new convert to Solution Saddles and don't think I'd go back to a regular treed at this point - so good to hear other people's experiences!
I have a rising 4yo warmblood and she seems to change shape pretty much every day which meant i either needed to...
Hey SparklySparky, did you get any feedback about Old Manor House? I'm currently on a similar quest - realise this was a few years ago now!
feel free to PM me.
Cheers
Hi all
as a (medically enforced) non-driver, I'm struggling to find Livery that I can get to off my own back from Oxford.
Any personal recommendations greatly appreciated!
Many thanks
ooops submitted before saying anything about myself!
I've finally taken the plunge and acquired a gorgeous youngster after a few enforced years away from horse shaped things. We're based in Oxfordshire... and very much looking forward to better weather so we can start getting out to see the...
