Thanks , I have called the vet to attend on Monday just to check him over because he looks so miserable , his feet are not right , looks like he is putting his heel down first and his toes are sticking up, I'm guessing this is bad trimming which may be causing him to be uncomfortable at walking ?
He is on a strict diet and nice and slim , no cushy ha but EMS and having metformin for that, I have told farrier but he doesn't listen, was done by his colleague who didn't scrape his sole and he was fine , this falling on
Deaf ears hence looking for new farrier.
My Shetland suffered laminitis , his feet still felt warm but he kind of let me know he was feeling better as he was walking around the stable more , I let him out for a five min wander on the yard and did this a few times,.
My laminitic Shetland always get foot sore 10 days after being trimmed, someone advised to paint his soles with iodine, has anyone else tried this or recommend anything else
