You should really look up videos on youtube or watch Monty Roberts approach to getting horses used to loading, i used the same approach with my horses and now they load perfectly and travel perfectly.
Also maybe use travelling boots or a poll guard if your not already as maybe the horse is...

No it wasn't me that broke him in but i do know that he was in work for 10 weeks but I don't know when he was put out on grass after.

I recently bought a 5 year old ISH, he was broken in and just thrown out in a field so needs bringing on. I haven't ridden him yet due to med fever and no correct fitting tack, when the mud fever cures what can I do to bring him on and get him more confident and used of things?
I recetly bought a 5 year old Irish sport horse, he is 17.1hh and I don't know what size saddle i should buy for him. Can anybody tell me how to measure him by myself or any sizes that should fit him. Thanks
