ive had a few, but none of them have really witnessed the problem because he does it when we're having normally and with my instructors ive mostly been jumping
he definitely not scared of taking the bit forward, its only an issue i face when he gets excited, normally hacking on a field. ive had a number of instructors who've taught me for showjumping and for this it suits him but i was just looking for something abit different to hack and school in.
hi everyone i have an excitable 14.2, he has a trick of tucking his nose into his chest then taking off with me and the bit i have now isn't really helping. he is in a gag which i feel isn't helping me to be able to get his head back at all, any ideas?
He's not too bad on the flat, he does these huge leaps that helps him to balance as going from trot to canter as he is rather unbalanced especially doing this transition, this is also where he tends to tuck his head in
No he's not a child's pony however I am quite small and therefore it's difficult for me to keep his head up. I've had a few trainers who've told me I need some sort of bit that will gently bring his head up. He was previously in a happy mouth Pelham but is now in a happy mouth gag
