need advice on a new bit for my pony

Hi everyone,
I have a little 14.2hh pony, unsure on his breed but he is 13 and i need some advice on a new bit for him. I've had him for 3 years now and still facing the same issue. He has quite a soft mouth and therefore has to be in a happy mouth however he has a problem of tucking his nose into his chest and taking off with me! Hes in a gag at the momemt but was previosuly in a pelham but it just pulled his head down, advice please?

Find a decent instructor. It is far easier to be pointed in the right direction by someone on the ground, who can observe the problem first hand and correct accordingly.
