Countrywide Farmers (or that type of store). It's best to get it from the farming section rather than the horse section. Same goes for the purple spray - the stuff in the farming section is the real heavy duty stuff, unlike the horse variety which is much weaker.

If you can remember a few more details it would help. Where did the girls he was sold to live? You could try looking at Pony Club websites/jumping show results etc. etc. Google is your friend if you give it enough information.
