Thank you for your reply. He is absolutely fine in the school when schooling, no leaning, stops really easy. Its just out hacking where he can be a little stronger, and its not a bolting or excitement thing.
He doesnt always bend so well when he is schooling, particularily through his right...
Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help?
I am wondering what bit to use on my horse, he is a 16.2hh shire x tb, so a mw hunter type. He is currently mainly ridden in a hanging cheek, jointed snaffle which isnt causing him any problems, but he can be quite strong.
He doesnt bolt or anything...
Just a quick update if you are interested...
I'm currently trying the Global herbs Dust Liquid and touch wood it seems to be working, I've not heard him cough, I will be riding him this evening so we'll see if his usual cough if first trot happens or not.
But so far so good.
Thank you...
Many thanks for your comments. I think I may look into these a little further. He is in a very well ventalated stable. I will do a little more searching
Thanks xx
Hi,
I wonder if any of you can offer any support on tried and tested suppliments. I have a 16.2hh tbxshire 12yrs old. Earlier this year he suffered with a very bad cold/flu which took the vets 6 weeks to cure (it was so bad initially we thought it was strangles), however a long story short...
I'd like to thank everyone for their comments. They've really helped. I've still a lot of thinking to do, but I may decide to buy a filly instead or buy the colt and geld him as per KarynK advice. I'd like to thank you especially as your comments have really helped.
Thank you everyone.
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

To ensure I'm certain and know what it entails and what I'm letting myself in for.
As mentioned previously I've asked these questions for peoples experience...
I don't hate you. I want the best advice possible so I can make an informed decision.
I don't want to 'bite off more than I can chew' hence why I asked on a forum to get experience from people who have done this and know what to think about and consider.
Thanks for your comments and time, its...
Thanks for your response and I value your honesty.
However I'm looking for advice and answers to questions. I've never bred before, thats a fact however I've worked with and owned horses for nearly 20 years. So I wouldn't say I was inexperienced when it came to horses.
However I am new to...
I'm looking into this and breeding is new to me. I definintely have decided on an adalucian, and its just a thought of whether I should do this or not. As I've still a lot of research to do. I potentially will get the colt gelded if thats what I decide to go for.
Do you have any generic breeding...
I'm purchasing an andalucian from Spain and contemplating getting a colt to use as at stud in future years, but also as a riding horse. I have my own yard, but at present have limited Grazing. However I'm hoping to rectify this with renting some close by. The stallion will always be kept on the...
